Thursday, August 6 10AM AEST (Sydney) | Wednesday, August 5 8PM (New York)
A Part of the AESC Executive Search Advantage Workshop Series
The way candidates are presented can significantly influence client engagement, search momentum, and final hiring outcomes. This workshop explores how executive researchers can move beyond resume summaries to deliver compelling, strategic candidate narratives that build confidence and accelerate decision-making. Participants will examine how to tailor presentations for different stakeholders, frame candidate strengths and risks with credibility, and communicate market context effectively to both clients and internal search teams.
Through practical examples and discussion, attendees will learn how to structure candidate presentations that are concise, insightful, and aligned with the priorities of senior decision-makers. The session will also address common pitfalls in candidate positioning, techniques for presenting nuanced or nontraditional profiles, and approaches for facilitating productive calibration conversations throughout the search process.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Structure candidate presentations that align with client priorities, role requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
- Differentiate between informational candidate summaries and strategic candidate narratives.
- Present strengths, development areas, and potential risks with credibility and balance.
- Tailor communication approaches for clients, internal search teams, and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Use market insights and comparative context to strengthen candidate positioning and decision-making.
- Apply practical techniques for presenting nontraditional, diverse, or unconventional candidate profiles with confidence.
Registration is complimentary to all AESC Members. Nonmembers seeking registration should inquire to learndev@aesc.org.
